About our General English courses

Most General English courses in Brighton are available from our elementary level upwards, which is equivalent to CEFR level A1. Some are available from intermediate B1 upwards.

Our most popular option is our General English group course, with up to 11 other students of a very similar level of English to you. After you choose and book your course, we’ll contact you to arrange a detailed test and a friendly online meeting with one of our tutors, who will find out more about you and assess your speaking level, to make sure you’re placed in a group which is right for your level and needs.

Focus on what matters to you

There are different ways to boost your every day English skills.

Add one or two private lessons each afternoon

To do this, simply select the one-to-one option when you book your General English course, and we’ll contact you to discuss your needs.

Add an exam or work focus

You can also add focus classes after your general English class to to prepare for TOEIC or English for work.

Be rewarded for staying longer

If you’re planning to stay for over 24 weeks, the study year programme will probably be your best option.
