The English for Work afternoon elective is designed to introduce English used in everyday office situations and in routine communication between companies. This elective is ideal for students with little or no experience of using English for work.
In the mornings you study the core programme on the General English course in a multi-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. You can then choose to study 5 or 10 lessons per week in the afternoons focussing on English for Work.
Each afternoon the English for Work lesson focuses on a particular area such as:
- using the telephone
- giving presentations
- meetings and negotiations
- business correspondence (emails, letters and faxes)
- business vocabulary
Our minimum age for individuals is 16, but we occasionally accept 15 year olds on the General English course in international classes provided they are part of a group with a group leader.
