The General English plus Yoga/Natural Health course is designed to help you develop your overall level of English and practise a practical skill at the same time.
In the mornings you study on the core programme of the General English course in a multi-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. Then in the afternoons, evenings or at the weekend you have 3 natural fitness classes and 1 complementary therapy per week. You can choose from a range of options including the ones below.
Natural Fitness Classes
Yoga
Yoga brings relaxation to body and mind through gentle postures (asanas), deep breathing (pranayama), and meditation (dhyanna). Yoga can expand physical and mental awareness, build strength and flexibility, and increase energy levels. The Centre offers different strengths and styles of Yoga, and their staff will be happy to recommend a suitable class.
Gentle yoga and meditation
This offers simple yoga stretches to relax tension, deep relaxation, breath work (pranayama) and meditation. Visit a wonderful oasis of calm in your busy life.
Tai Chi
This is a self-healing system for creating internal and mental harmony. These classes offer a series of soft and gentle exercises, which strengthen the body and prevent illness. Relieves stress, tension, aches and pains.
Chi Exercise and relaxation
This is specially designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility for people with back conditions, osteoporosis, recovering from operation or illness and less mobile seniors. No mat work, can be done seated.
Balletcise
Ideal for anyone who has fond memories of ballet classes as a child or for those who never had the opportunity and wishes they had!
Complementary Therapies
Aqua Detox
A manual therapy that uses spinal manipulation to restore proper spinal motion and alignment in order to remove or reduce nerve interference/irritation
Emotional Freedom Techniques
Pain, stress, phobias, relationship problems and addiction can be released through tapping acupuncture points on the face and collar bone
Facials
Ayurvedic, Natural Lift Facial Massage, Hopi Ear Candle Therapy, Special herbal candles may relieve many ear and sinus problem
Massage
Aromatherapy, Indian Head, Shiatsu, Butterfly Touch, Rolfing, Thai Foot

Our minimum age for individuals is 16 but we occasionally accept 15 year olds on the General English course in international classes provided they are part of a group with a group leader.
