English Teacher Training in Brighton, Chester and Eastbourne

Teachers Courses

Professional Development for Teachers of English

ELC schools have many decades' experience in providing teacher training and development courses for teachers of English at its centres in Brighton, Chester and Eastbourne.

ELC is also registered for participation in Erasmus+ - PIC code is 943968790.

We can provide training for teachers of English at primary and secondary level as well as lecturers/teachers at universities and in further/higher education. ELC is also a test centre for Cambridge TKT.

Erasmus+ courses in Brighton

We run 7 different main English language and teaching methodology courses with fixed dates at ELC Brighton. The courses are suitable for individuals and colleagues from the same school/university and are eligible for Erasmus+ funding. these courses usually run during teachers holidays - Easter, Summer, half-term.>

In addition we offer other Erasmus courses throughout the year.

CELTA course in Eastbourne

We offer the 4-week CELTA course, leading to the world-recognised initial training qualification.

Tailormade Closed Group courses

    The following table shows the levels we use at ELC.

    ELC Level Level Aims
    C2 Upper-advanced - use English very well in demanding situations
    - performance level may be above average native speaker
    C1 Advanced - use English well in all but the most demanding situations
    - use and understand complex language
    B2 Upper-intermediate - use English effectively in all familiar situations
    - use more complex English and cope with more demanding situations
    B1 Intermediate - use English to express simple ideas and achieve results
    - use range of basic language well in most situations
    A2 Pre-intermediate - use English in most familiar situations
    - use English in a limited way in more difficult situations
    A1/A2 Elementary - develop English skills to 'survival' level
