In September 2013, a lovely group of students from Weinfelden in Switzerland came to Eastbourne School of English. They prepared for the FCE and BEC exams, they completed a video project about London and recorded their impressions on a brilliant blogspot entitled "Our Stay in Eastbourne 2013".
Some highlights of the blogspot include:
"So I had a good first impression about England, Eastbourne and my host family": More >>
"The day started at 9 o'clock in the school. In spite of the exciting evening last night, the students were very active during their lessons": More >>
"Some of us took full advantage of the fact that Eastbourne is situated so close to London and went up there to see a musical on Wednesday night": More >>
"I met some very lovely people in our school like a girl from Korea": More >>
Comment from Mike, our Social Organiser:
"It was an action-packed two weeks! Many of the students had not been to England before so I knew that they would want to cram in as many after school activities as possible. The highlights of the week were definitely going to see The Lion King in London, Chelsea vs FC Basel and our all-day tour of London on the Saturday.
The students also enjoyed windsurfing, horse riding, bowling, laser tag and a cliff top walk to Beachy Head. On the second Thursday we had a big goodbye party, they were able to let their hair down and enjoy their last night in England. I can’t wait for the next group to come in 2014, it’s a crazy and fun two weeks, and I feel lucky to be able to go along for the ride!"
