Accommodation in Eastbourne
One of the best ways to improve your English is by living in England, speaking to local people and experiencing UK life /culture by living in homestay accommodation. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable where you live so our dedicated Accommodation Department carefully selects our homestays, choosing hosts who understand the needs of students from other countries.
The majority of our students stay in homestay single rooms on a half-board basis. The host provides breakfast and dinner every day with a light lunch/packed lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Other meal options may be possible - please contact us. The normal day for arrival with the host is the Sunday before the course starts (before 22.00) and the day of departure is normally the Saturday or Sunday after the course ends. You live as a member of the household, eating meals together and sharing common living areas. The host will clean your room and provide you with towels and bedding. One load of laundry per week is included in the cost.

*ELC Eastbourne is conveniently located right in the centre of Eastbourne. You will normally be placed in a homestay within walking distance of school so you will not need to pay for transportation. On occasion, we may offer you a homestay that suits your needs that is further than 30 minutes' walk from school but these homestays will be a short (10-20 minute) journey on public transport. In 2021 a weekly bus pass costs approx £15 and a 4-weekly bus pass costs £53. Suggested journey times between the homestay and school are based on google maps information and may vary depending on time of day.
#Fifty Plus homestay - students booking our Fifty Plus course should choose Fifty Plus homestay (or sole use of bathroom homestays). Fifty Plus homestays are usually older hosts who are used to hosting mature students and have more time to interact and socialise with their students.
Students aged 16 and 17 booked on adult courses
Unaccompanied students aged under 18 must normally choose homestay accommodation (half-board).
In summer, unless otherwise requested, and subject to availability, we will normally place a student aged under 18 in a twin room with another student of the same sex and a similar age. (For students aged 18 and over shared homestay is only available for two students travelling together).
