Our Social Programme in Eastbourne

ELC Eastbourne organises a programme of afternoon and evening social activities and weekend excursions to help you practise your English and make international friends. Our full-time social organiser offers activities every day during the week and full-day guided excursions at weekends.

This week's Social Programme

Social Activities

Afternoon and evening activities include sports, local visits, film evenings and quizzes. They are organised on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis. Some activities are free like sports and weekly Conversation/Debate Club. For other activities we make a small charge of about £3 to £10.

Local tours that ELC Eastbourne organises may include:

  • Hastings to see the Castle and the Smugglers’ Caves
  • Bodiam Castle and Battle, site of the Battle of Hastings
  • Brighton for shopping and a tour of the picturesque Lanes area
  • Beachy Head and Pevensey Castle, built in Roman times

We charge about £6 to £15 for these local tours plus entry fees.
