ELC Brighton Social Programme visit to London

Student Testimonial: German teacher

At ELC we train something like 300 teachers from all over the world every year on our courses for overseas teachers. We offer a wide variety of teachers courses that aim to provide teachers with new ideas and techniques that they can use back in their classrooms, as well as providing opportunties to develop their understanding of British culture and practise their English.

We have been welcoming groups from Sachsen-Anhalt for many years and during a recent course we got the chance to catch up with one of the teachers, Uwe Peter from Halle.

Uwe is not new to this type of course and has attended a few in the past in England. He has had great experiences each time and that is why he keeps on attending whenever he can! Uwe explained that the course they on is called a “Brush up” course organised through the British Council. The aim of the course is for teachers to brush up on their English, learn about British culture and learn new and fresh teaching ideas which they can take back to their classroom with them.

He enthused greatly about the teachers/trainers at ELC and was very impressed with the knowledge, teaching style and effectiveness of our teachers. Uwe also greatly enjoyed his stay in Brighton. he has visited many destinations in England and found Brighton to be one of the most beautiful yet.
