Our favourite Eastbourne sights and attractions

An almost unreal looking photo of students walking down the path towards the natural feature of Birling Gap. In the background you can see the white chalky cliffs of the coastline rising up and the Beachy Head lighthouse can be seen. This area is a very short drive from Eastbourne where ELC's English school is located.

Eastbourne is a cool town in its own right with a healthy arts scene, and it also has some of the most visually stunning landscapes in the UK.

Our favourite Eastbourne sights and attractions

We love Eastbourne and so do our students, it is a beautiful and safe town with a plethora of attractions to interest everybody! Our students absolutely adore the area and find themselves missing Eastbourne once they leave, one of the main reasons they love it so much is because of all the attractions and the memories they make in the area. Below we run through some of our favourite attractions in Eastbourne.

Beachy Head

The views here are absolutely breath-taking, our Beachy Head excursion is extremely popular be it during the scorching summer days or more chilly winter afternoons. It never fails to impress and our students are always in awe of the spectacular views and take the opportunity for some brilliant photos. For those who enjoy long walks, it is hard to think of many better places, we occasionally find that some of students even want to walk all the way back to Eastbourne rather than taking the bus!

Eastbourne Pier and Seafrontpier

The Eastbourne pier and seafront is very beautiful and a popular place for many to take a nice relaxed stroll to unwind and enjoy the sea views. Many of our students pin point the seafront as one of the best things about Eastbourne. There is also lots of fun to be had on the iconic pier, with many arcade games and lots of spots to get something to eat and drink.

The Theatre

A trip to the Theatre is a brilliant evening activity, the theatre is very popular in Eastbourne with many restaurants’ also offering special pre-theatre menus! There is a wide range of shows on offer all year round so you can be assured that there will be something to interest you. It is especially useful for our students who not only enjoy themselves but also improve their English listening skills, a real win-win!
